Monitoring & Reports Tool

Overview

The Monitoring & Reports tool (also known as the “Dashboard” or “Monitoring & Reports module” or just “Reports”) is a very important tool.

This is actually your “eyes” out there in your venues, which provides you of information of your media players, screens and devices in real time and for filtered periods.

To access the reports, just open a browser and go to https://reports.novisign.com
Use your Studio user to login into the reports. All the reports are presented in UTC time.

Purpose and Benefits

As a user you’d like to know which of your screens works well, which one may have issue (as well as no internet).

You might want to have some history reports of the screens’ availability and performance and maybe even some reports to show to your advertisers (if you have), such as the proof-of-play reports.

If you’re an end user, the tool will show you all the screens which are in accounts related to the user which you logged into to the reports.

If you’re a partner, you can login with your managing user and then be able to see not only the screen under the accounts related to this user, but all the screens in your subdomain of all your users.

Reports dashboard

Available Reports

  1. Dashboard – this is aggregation showing your displays aggregated by status (connectivity), player app version and by operating system version (of the media player or the smart display).
  2. Screen Content – this is your screen monitor which shows you the live status of all your displays in the last 24 hours (while all other reports will show what’s been going on in your displays beyond the last 24 hours). It is the most important tool in the reports module. Except filtering like any other report, you have a CSV export button (please remember that the exported CSV has much more data than what you see in the monitor, i.e. app version, OS type, OS version, etc.).
  3. Device Monitor – it is very similar to the screen content monitor, but is useful only in one scenario: when you use the same screen key in more than one device (i.e. a store with 100 tablets where each has same screen key).
  4. Screens Availability Report – a history report that shows you the availability of your displays in a filtered period of time.
  5. Media Performance Report – classic proof-of-play report, which shows you stats of the content by media. Very useful for advertisers.
  6. Devices Performance Report – classic proof-of-play report, which shows you stats of the content by the actual devices (media players or smart displays). Very useful for advertisers.
  7. Events Report – shows you events triggered in your screens (NoviSign has an events engine for triggering content by external events or IoT).
  8. Hand Sanitizer Report – unique report only for those who use the NoviTizer (NoviSign’s hand sanitizer kiosk released to the market during the COVID period).
